God’s mercy has been abundantly shown in my life. God has saved me and called me to preach the gospel.
I was born in Germany and came to Connecticut at age 3. Both of my parents are strong Christians. My dad lived by faith even though he had a limited education and upbringing. My dad simply claimed God’s promises. He was a man of prayer who would get up early in the morning to pray in the living room before going off to work. He has gone to heaven. My mother is active in her Christian walk by witnessing, encouraging and sharing.
After graduation from high school, I went to the military academy at West Point. Graduation was followed by additional schooling and then three years in Fulda, Germany. Some German Christians and I started a Christian ‘tea room’ that was open to the public on several evenings of the week. We would have scheduled Bible studies where others and I would teach God’s Word. After I came back to the United States, the ‘tea room’ group became a regular church. It still meets.
After five and a half years in active military service, I resigned and became a civilian. Shortly thereafter, a position opened as youth pastor. After a brief service, I ventured out in traveling ministry.
In the intervening years, I have been in ministry to include pastoring a church. I have taught classes to youth, singles and adults. I have made short term missions trips to Australia, Jamaica and Germany. I have witnessed to individuals and preached to groups. God has faithfully confirmed his Word.
My three children are all living for God. My oldest son recently graduated from college and is married. My younger son and my daughter are attending college here in Texas.
Rom 9:16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy. (NKJ)
Ps 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. (NKJ)
