June 1
abide in Jesus Christ
John 15:4 “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.”

John 8:31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. (NKJ)

We abide by receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and then completely living for Him with His help.
As we are connected to our Lord Jesus Christ, we are promised that good fruit will naturally come out of our lives.
We will have the love, joy and peace and the other fruit of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
·  June 2
much fruit
v.5 “I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.”

John 12:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. (NKJ)

God wants us to have much fruit in our lives.
We can have this fruit by abiding in our Lord Jesus Christ and living completely for Him.
·  June 3
connected to the Lord Jesus Christ to have eternal life
John 15:6 “If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”

Jude 1:21-23
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction;
23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh. (NKJ)

We need to be connected to the Lord Jesus Christ to have eternal life. Just as there is a heaven to gain, there is also a place of fire we warn people against.
·  June 4
answered prayer
John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. (NKJ)

John 16:23-24
23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.
24 “Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (NKJ)

We thank God for answering prayer through the Name of Jesus Christ!
·  June 5
How to pray
John 15:16 “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. (NKJ)

John 14:13-14
13 “And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. (NKJ)

Jesus taught us how to pray. We pray to our Heavenly Father, in Name of Jesus, believing that God answers prayer according to His Word.
·  June 6
The Holy Spirit will teach us and guide us into all truth.
John 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (NKJ)

I Jn 2:27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. (NKJ)

As Christians, we have the Holy Spirit. We rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us into the truths of God’s Word.
·  June 7
led by the Spirit of God
John 14:16-17 16 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever–
17 “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (NKJ)

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (NKJ)

To each Christian belongs the leading of the Holy Spirit.
We have peace when we are going the God’s way.
On the flip side, we have an inner warning when we are going the wrong way.
This leading grows stronger as we are careful to obey God in both small and bigger matters.
·  June 8
Word of God has power to set the captives free
John 8:31-32 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (NKJ)

Isa 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; he has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; (NKJ)

The Word of God has power to set the captives free.
We can be free from wrong habits, iniquities and sin as we abide in God’s Word.
·  June 9
be single minded in living for our Lord Jesus Christ
Ps 37:27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell forevermore. (NKJ)

2 Tim 2:19 Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” (NKJ)

As Christians, we have to be single minded in living for our Lord Jesus Christ.
·  June 10
a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life
John 4:14 “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” (NKJ)

John 6:35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. (NKJ)

Jesus Christ gives true and lasting satisfaction. Through Jesus, we have peace, joy and eternal life!
·  June 11
baptized with the Holy Spirit
Matt 3:11 “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. (NKJ)

John 1:33 “I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, `Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ (NKJ)

Each Christian can be baptized with the Holy Spirit. We can be filled to overflowing. When we are born again, we are baptized into the Body of Christ.
·  June 12
baptized into one body
1 Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body– whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free– and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. (NKJ)

Rom 6:3-4 3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (NKJ)

When we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ. We show this outwardly by being baptized in water.
·  June 13
water baptism
Matt 3:13-15 13 Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him.
14 And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?”
15 But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. (NKJ)

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (NKJ)

Each believer in Jesus Christ should be water baptized as soon as practical. Water baptism shows that we are dead to the world and are now alive in Jesus Christ.
·  June 14
led by the Holy Spirit
Matt 4:1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. (NKJ)

Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (NKJ)

Each believer can personally know the leading of the Holy Spirit in their own life. We have peace when we are going God’s way and have a lack of peace when we aren’t following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
·  June 15
wisdom and the right words to speak
Matt 10:20 “for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (NKJ)

Luke 21:15 “for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. (NKJ)

We thank God for giving us wisdom and the right words to speak to those around us.
·  June 16
the relation of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Matt 28:19 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (NKJ)

Matt 3:16-17 16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (NKJ)

We can say what the Word of God says about the relation of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These two passages shows part of that relationship.
·  June 17
In the Name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit
Matt 12:28 “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. (NKJ)

Mark 16:17 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; (NKJ)

In the Name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, each Christian believer can cast out demons and command the enemy to leave us.
·  June 18
annointed by the Holy Spirit
Luke 4:18-19
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (NKJ)

Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (NKJ)

Each Christian can be annointed with power to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with those who are near and far. We receive that annointing by asking for it, believing God’s Word.
·  June 19
born of water and the Spirit
John 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. (NKJ)

John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (NKJ)

When we receive Jesus Christ as Savior, we are born again by the Spirit of God.
We then have eternal life and abundant life!
·  June 20
rivers of living water
John 7:37-39
37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.
38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
39 But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. (NKJ)

Isa 44:3 For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring; (NKJ)

We can have our spiritual thirst abundantly satisfied as we ask our Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, to fill us.
·  June 21
we can ask the Holy Spirit for help
John 14:16-17
16 “And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever–
17 “the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. (NKJ)

Heb 13:6 So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (NKJ)

We thank God for helping us in our daily lives.
We can boldly bring our requests to our Heavenly Father, praying in the Name of Jesus.
·  June 22
the Holy Spirit will teach and guide us
John 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. (NKJ)

John 16:13 “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. (NKJ)

We thank God for the Holy Spirit leading us, guiding us, teaching us and helping us to remember the Word of God.
·  June 23
in the last days, God’s Spirit will be poured out on all flesh
Acts 2:17-18
17 ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams.
18 And on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days; and they shall prophesy. (NKJ)

Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (NKJ)

The fulness of the Holy Spirit is available for every believer in Jesus Christ.
We are living in the last days as prophesied by Joel in the Old Testament.
·  June 24
the gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out
Acts 2:33 “Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. (NKJ)

Acts 10:45-47
45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered,
47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” (NKJ)

The gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out to both Jews and Gentiles. We can be filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit!
·  June 25
ask in prayer to be filled with the Holy Spirit
Acts 4:29-31
29 “Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word,
30 “by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness. (NKJ)

Eph 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, (NKJ)

We can ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. God has promised to fill us when we ask.

Luke 11:13 “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (NKJ)
·  June 26
filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit
Acts 13:52 And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit. (NKJ)

Rom 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (NKJ)

Being filled with the Holy Spirit and having joy in our lives goes hand in hand together.
·  June 27
The fulness of the Holy Spirit!
Acts 8:15-17
15 who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.
16 For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
17 Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.

Acts 19:6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. (NKJ)

The fulness of the Holy Spirit can be released into other Christians by the laying on of hands. Each Christian can be filled to overflowing and then share the Holy Spirit with others!
·  June 28
the comfort of the Holy Spirit
Acts 9:31 Then the churches throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied. (NKJ)

Prov 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. (NKJ)

As Christians, we can both walk in the ‘fear of the Lord’, hating evil and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
People will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as we live and share our Christian testimony before them.
·  June 29
set at liberty those who are oppressed
Acts 10:38 “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. (NKJ)

Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; he has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; (NKJ)

Christians can be filled with the Holy Spirit and with power.
We can pray, in the Name of Jesus, for those who are bound and see them set free.
·  June 30
confirming the word with signs following
Acts 10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. (NKJ)

Mark 16:20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (KJV)

As we preach and teach God’s Word, we trust God to confirm His Word with signs following.
We believe for people to be drawn to the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they will be saved by calling on the Name of the Lord.
