December 1 that you may lack nothing 1Thes 4:11-12 11 that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, 12 that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing. (NKJ) Luke 19:13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. (KJV) As Christians, we use the talents that God has given us. We start each day with prayer and the Word of God. Then we work as unto the Lord Jesus Christ. December 2 the hand of the diligent makes rich Prov 10:4 He who has a slack hand becomes poor, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. (NKJ) 2 Tim 2:15 Work hard so God can say to you, “Well done.” Be a good workman, one who does not need to be ashamed when God examines your work. Know what his Word says and means. (TLB) Each of us can choose to be diligent in living for God and in our daily activities. December 3 we can ask for wisdom James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (KJV) IKing 3:12 “behold, I have done according to your words; see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has not been anyone like you before you, nor shall any like you arise after you. ” (NKJ) We thank God for giving us wisdom and insight for the work and the ministry we have been entrusted with. December 4 let your light shine Matt 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Eph 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (NKJ) As Christians, we let the light of Jesus Christ shine brightly through us. We choose to keep the darkness of sin and unforgiveness away from us. December 5 live soberly, righteously, and godly Titus 2:11-12 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, (NKJ) Rom 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. (NKJ) As Christians, we choose to go God’s way! December 6 called children of God I Jn 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. (NKJ) John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: (NKJ) Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. (KJV) Being a born again child of God is as simple as receiving Jesus Christ as Savior. December 7 To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time Heb 9:28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. (NKJ) I Jn 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (KJV) Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is coming back all born again believers. Let us always be ready for His soon and sudden return. December 8 faithfully live for our Lord Jesus Christ all the days of our lives 2 Tim 2:12 If we endure, we shall also reign with Him. If we deny Him, he also will deny us. (NKJ) Matt 25:21 “His lord said to him, `Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ (NKJ) Lets faithfully live for our Lord Jesus Christ all the days of our lives! December 9 He who overcomes shall inherit all things Rev 21:7 “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. (NKJ) I Jn 2:14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. (KJV) We choose, with God’s grace and empowerment, to overcome evil with good. We say no to temptation and say yes to God all the days of our lives. December 10 try Me now in this, Mal 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. (NKJ) Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (NKJ) God promises us a bountiful harvest as we sow our resources, time and talents into the kingdom of God. December 11 let us run with endurance the race that is set before us Heb 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, (NKJ) Rev 1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. (NKJ) Lets live our lives with a view of eternity! Each day, with God’s help, we can make good decisions to go God’s Way. December 12 I will fear no evil; for You are with me Ps 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (NKJ) Isa 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ (NKJ) We don’t fear because we know that our Lord Jesus Christ is with us and protecting us. December 13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. 1 Cor 16:13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. (NKJ) Gal 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (KJV) As Christians, we choose to stay and stand strong in faith. We abide in the Word of God and let it abide in us. December 14 The way of the LORD is strength for the upright Prov 10:29 The way of the LORD is strength for the upright, but destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. (NKJ) Isa 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (KJV) We thank God for strengthening us as we wait up our Lord Jesus Christ in prayer and the Word of God. December 15 Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you Ps 55:22 Cast your burden on the LORD, and He shall sustain you; he shall never permit the righteous to be moved. (NKJ) 1 Pet 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (KJV) We give all of our cares and worries over to our Lord Jesus Christ. We choose not to worry. We rest and rejoice in our Lord! December 16 Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. Rev 3:11 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown. (NKJ) Phil 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. (KJV) We live with the expectation that our Lord Jesus Christ may return at any moment. We want to always be found faithfully living for Him. December 17 use your talents Matt 25:18 “But he who had received one went and dug in the ground, and hid his lord’s money. (NKJ) 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. (KJV) John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (KJV) We choose not to be afraid. We trust God to use and multiply our talents as we listen to God’s Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. December 18 if there is anything praiseworthy– meditate on these things Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy– meditate on these things. (NKJ) Phile 1:6 that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. (NKJ) Lets acknowledge the good things that are in others and in ourselves through Jesus Christ. December 19 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ 2 Cor 2:14 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. (NKJ) Rom 8:37-39 37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NKJ) We thank God for giving us victory in our daily lives! December 20 dwell together in unity Ps 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (NKJ) John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. (KJV) As Christians, we choose to go the extra mile in walking in love toward our fellow Christians and toward everyone. December 21 good tidings of great joy which will be to all people Luke 2:10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. (NKJ) Isa 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! (KJV) The gospel of Jesus Christ is Good News. We tell people that Jesus Christ gives eternal life and abundant life to those that believe on Him. December 22 on earth peace, goodwill toward men Luke 2:14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (NKJ) Rom 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, (NKJ) We thank God for peace in our lives through our Lord Jesus Christ! December 23 A light to bring revelation Luke 2:32 A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.” (NKJ) John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. (KJV) We thank God for Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. We thank God for giving light to our path whereever we are. December 24 call His name Immanuel Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. (KJV) Matt 1:23-25 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. (KJV) God will do what He has promised. The birth of the Messiah and many attending conditions were prophesied hundreds of years before it happened. It came to pass exactly as prophesied. Even so, the Word of God will come to pass in your life. Just as God worked all the circumstances surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ for good, so God is working all things together for good as you love Him and live for Him. December 25 And His name will be called wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace Isa 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (NKJ) Luke 2:14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” (NKJ) We have peace with God and we have the peace of God through our Lord Jesus Christ! December 26 and the grace of God was upon Him Luke 2:40 And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. (NKJ) Acts 4:33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. (KJV) We can have great grace upon our lives just as our Lord Jesus Christ and the apostles did. The same grace that saves us can keep us as we trust Him. December 27 For with God nothing will be impossible Luke 1:37 “For with God nothing will be impossible.” (NKJ) Gen 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. (KJV) Just as God worked a miracle for in the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and in the birth of Isaac, we too can have miracles in our lives as we trust our Lord Jesus Christ in every area. December 28 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. Dear Friends, Luke 1:46 And Mary said: “My soul magnifies the Lord, 47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. (NKJ) Ps 100:4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. (NKJ) Just like Mary, the mother of Jesus, we give thanks and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV) We choose every day to live whole heartedly for our Lord Jesus Christ. It is His grace that keeps us and strengthens us. December 30 Therefore take up the whole armor of God Eph 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (NKJ) Ps 28:7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. (KJV) We thank God for protecting and keeping us as we live completely for Him. December 31 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity Eph 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. (NKJ) Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, (NKJ) We thank God for saving us out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of Light through His Son, Jesus Christ. |
