· May 1 Fear not Hag 1:13 Then Haggai, the LORD’S messenger, spoke the LORD’S message to the people, saying, “I am with you, says the LORD.” (NKJ) Isa 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ (NKJ) We give thanks to God for always being with us! · May 2 we are fully persuaded to follow our Lord Jesus Christ Rom 8:38-39 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NKJ) 2 Tim 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. (NKJ) As Christians, we are fully persuaded to follow our Lord Jesus Christ! · May 3 God will complete the good work begun in us. Phil 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; (NKJ) Col 1:29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. (NKJ) We thank God for helping us to grow in our Lord Jesus Christ! · May 4 filled with the fruits of righteousness Phil 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. (KJV) John 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (NKJ) Each of us can grow to be strong Christians as we abide in our Lord Jesus Christ. Just like a tree we can have good fruit that comes naturally. · May 5 For to me to live is Christ Phil 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. (KJV) Gal 6:14 But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. (NKJ) As Christians, we are alive to Christ and consider ourselves dead to the world’s temptations. Through Jesus Christ, our Savior, we receive strength to be overcomes in our daily lives. · May 6 grace and strength from God in every situation Phil 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; (KJV) 1 Pet 3:14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” (NKJ) As Christians, we choose to go God’s way no matter what the cost may be. We thank God for giving us grace and strength for our daily walk as believers in Jesus Christ. · May 7 For He shall give His angels charge over you Ps 91:11 For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. (NKJ) Ps 34:7 The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. (NKJ) We thank God for putting his angels around us as we live wholeheartedly for our Lord Jesus Christ! · May 8 The Name above every Name! Phil 2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, (NKJ) Acts 3:16 “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. (NKJ) The Name of Jesus Christ is greater and more powerful than any circumstance, disease or opposition. We can pray to our Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus. We can speak in the Name of Jesus just as Peter did in the book of Acts. · May 9 bring the gospel to others Phil 2:10-11 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (NKJ) Heb 9:27-28 27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, 28 so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. (NKJ) While we are alive here on earth, we can, by faith, receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and have eternal life. After a person dies, if they haven’t been saved while alive, it is too late to change. As Christians, we have been given the Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Those who believe will be saved. · May 10 work out your own salvation Phil 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; (NKJ) 1 Cor 2:3-5 3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, 5 that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. (NKJ) We are saved by the grace of God. At the same time, we have our part not to take the grace of God lightly. Just as the Apostle Paul, we have our part to press in to all that God has for us. · May 11 a new creation in Christ Phil 2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (NKJ) Jer 31:33 “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. (NKJ) We thank God for giving us a heart to live for and desire Him. As a new creation in Christ, old things have passed away and all things have become new. · May 12 have an attitude of gratitude Phil 2:14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, (NKJ) 1 Cor 10:10-11 10 nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. 11 Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come. (NKJ) Our attitude should always be one of gratitude. We thank God for bringing this far in our lives and thank Him that He continues to lead and guide us through the Holy Spirit. · May 13 let the light of Jesus Christ shine through us Phil 2:15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, (NKJ) Matt 5:14-16 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 “Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (NKJ) Each of us can let the light of Jesus Christ shine through us. Each of us can make a difference in the circumstances we are in. · May 14 we rejoice in Christ Jesus Phil 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who , (NKJ) worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh Col 2:11-12 11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. (NKJ) We are set apart from the world through our baptism into the body of Christ. We ‘worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh’. · May 15 Faith is important Phil 3:9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; (NKJ) Eph 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. (NKJ) Faith is an important element in receiving the free gift of salvation. Just as when a person offers a gift, it is not owned until it is received, we too must confess the Lord Jesus Christ and believe that God raised Him from the dead to be saved. · May 16 the power of His resurrection Phil 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, (NKJ) Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. (NKJ) Each believer in Jesus Christ can be filled to overflowing with the same Holy Spirit that raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead! · May 17 Press on Phil 3:12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. (NKJ) 1 Tim 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (NKJ) As Christians, we each can press into all that God has for us. · May 18 be fruitful in the kingdom of God Phil 3:13-14 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. (NKJ) Luke 8:15 “But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. (NKJ) Each one of us can and should be fruitful in the Kingdom of God. With God�s help, we can plant the Word of God into our own lives and then into the lives of others! · May 19 believing prayer Matt 18:19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. (NKJ) Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. (NKJ) God promises to answer believing prayer! We can first study God�s Word, the Bible, and find what our benefits are and what is promised to us. We then can pray God�s promises and receive the answer. · May 20 that all should come to repentance Dear Friends, 2 Pet 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (NKJ) 1 Tim 2:4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (NKJ) Be encouraged that God wants all men to be saved. God has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Lets live for Jesus and tell others the Good News of Jesus Christ! (NKJ) John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (NKJ) We trust our great Shepherd to abundantly provide for us in our daily lives. · May 22 the joy of the Lord! Neh 8:10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” (NKJ) Heb 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” (NKJ) As Christians, we have the joy of the Lord as we live wholeheartedly for our Lord Jesus Christ. · May 23 You hold me by my right hand Ps 139:5 You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me. (NKJ) Ps 73:23 Nevertheless I am continually with You; you hold me by my right hand. (NKJ) We thank God for keeping us in all our ways as we live completely for our Lord Jesus Christ. · May 24 accepted in the Beloved Eph 1:6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. (NKJ) 2 Cor 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (NKJ) Through Jesus Christ, our Savior, we have right standing with God in heaven. We can boldly bring our requests to our Heavenly Father in the Name of Jesus! · May 25 In Him we have redemption through His blood Eph 1:7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (NKJ) Eph 2:8-9 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. (NKJ) As Christians, we are thankful for being redeemed out of the kingdom of darkness and into eternal life. God’s grace in our lives has made a way for us through our Lord Jesus Christ. · May 26 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (NKJ) Isa 45:2 `I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. (NKJ) We thank God for helping us in our daily activities! · May 27 Delight yourself also in the LORD Ps 37:4 Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (NKJ) John 15:7 “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. (NKJ) Lets put God first in our lives! · May 28 For we which have believed do enter into rest Ps 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. (KJV) Heb 4:3a For we which have believed do enter into rest, (KJV) Through Jesus Christ, we have rest and peace! · May 29 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD Ps 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and He delights in his way. (NKJ) Ps 119:133 Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me. (NKJ) We trust God to guide and lead us in our daily lives! · May 30 make time each day to hear God’s Word Prov 4:10 Hear, my son, and receive my sayings, and the years of your life will be many. (NKJ) Isa 55:3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you– the sure mercies of David. (NKJ) Lets make time each day to hear God’s Word. · May 31 But the path of the just is like the shining sun Prov 4:18 But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day. (NKJ) Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (NKJ) We are thankful that Jesus, our Good Shepherd, is leading us in the paths of righteousness for His Name’s sake. |
